Chocolate Cake

BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE

 

SERVES 6-8

 

INGREDIENTS 

For STEP 1

  • Cooking Chocolate Grated : 1 tbsp 

  • Baking Soda : 1/2 tsp

  • Baking Powder : 1 tsp

  • Vegetable Oil : 90 ml.

  • Cocoa Powder : 2 tbsp

  • Salt : 1 pinch

  • Banana : 4 (medium)

  • Plain Flour or (maida)or ( all piurpose flour) : 140g

  • Sugar : 145g

  • Vanilla essence/extract : 1 tsp

  • Cardamom : 5

  • Eggs : 2

  • Chocolate chips : as required

 

For Baking/Cooking

  • Salt

How to Make Moist Chocolate Cake

STEP 1

 

  • Mix all Step 1 ingredients except milk chocolate chips.

  • Use a whisk to mix. Once the batter is ready keep aside.

 

STEP 2

  • Preheat a kadai or wok by adding some salt at the base.(watch the video below)

  • Also keep a stand or steel bowl over the salt as upside down.

  • Cover with a lid and preheat on just below medium flame for 5-10 minutes.

   

STEP 3

  • Coat some butter on the base and sides of the cake tin.

  • Place the grease proof sheets on the base and sides of the cake tin.

  • Add cake batter to the cake tin. 

  • Tap the cake tin on the surface to avoid any air bubbles.

STEP 4

** IN THE HOB

  • Once the Kadai is hot bring the flame to low.

  • Maintain low heat and place the cake tin on the Kadai and cook for 40-50 minutes.

  • After 45 minutes, use a skewer in the middle of the cake to check weather it is cooked.

  • If the skewer will come out clear and dry, then the cake is cooked well.

  • Once the cake is cooked /baked let it cool down.

  • Remove the cake from the cake tin.

  • Remove the grease proof sheet and the cake is ready to eat.

** IN THE OVEN

  • Bake for 40-50 minutes at 180 degree Celsius/350 degree farenheit

    /gas mark 4 and in the middle shelf of the oven.

Absolutely delicious yum banana chocolate cake. Enjoy.
