ONION PAKORA

This Crispy outside and soft inside onion pakora recipe is made with all natural ingredients. Enjoy every bite of this pakora with Nina Kitchen pakora sauce or sweet chilli sauce or tomoato ketch up.

 

SERVES 4

Can serve as party food or evening snack or as a starter.

 

STEP 1

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 extra large Onion thin sliced

  • 160g Plain flour /Maida 

  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds

  • 1 tablespoon chilli flakes

  • 2 tablespoon rice flour

  • 2 tablespoon ginger thin chopped

  • 1 tablespoon garlic thin chopped

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder( mild) 

  • OR

  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (spicy)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chilli 
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon parsely dried
  • 0R 
  • 2 Tablespoon coriander leaves fresh chopped
  • Water as required to mix
  • In addition if required add the following
  • 2-3 tablespoon of plain flour (If required)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt 

  • Dried parsely

  • Oil as required to fry

How to Make Onion Pakora

STEP 1

 

  1. Take a bowl

  2. Add all step 1 ingredients and mix with water

  3. Make a batter as shown in video

 

STEP 2

  1. Heat a small Kadai

  2. Add oil to fry

  3. Maintain medium to high temperature

  4. Once oil is hot and bubbles come around a skewer while dipp in the oil, ready to fry

  5. Use a tablespoon or salad spoon to add the onion pakora batter to oil.

  6. Flip every one minute

  7. Fry until pakora get golden brown colour

  8. Once golden brown colour remove from oil to a foil covered basket or bowl to keep it warm

***Onion Pakora is ready.  Serve with Nina Kitchen pakora sauce, sweet chilli sauce or tomato ketch up
