South Indian fish fry can make in different ways. Here the salmon is shallow fried to get its complete taste without missing its oringinal flavours. Small amount of oil is required to do this. Any fish can cook in this way. Fish fry is one of the South Indians favourite recipe, especially pan fried.

Ingredients


INGREDIENTS -Step 1


  • Salmon Fillet : 2 (260G) 


  • Salt : 1/2 teaspoon 


  • Turmeric Powder : 1/2 teaspoon


  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder : 1/2 teaspoon


  • Red Chilli Powder : 1/4th teaspoon


  • Olive oil : 1 Tablespoon


  • Tamarind water : 1 teaspoon

                      OR

  • Tamarind paste : 1/2 teaspoon


  • Ginger paste : 1 teaspoon

                        OR

  • Garlic paste : 1 teaspoon


INGREDIENTS - Step 2


  •      Olive oil : 3-4 Tablespoon

How to Make



Step 1


  • Take a bowl.  Add all the step 1 ingredients ( excluding the salmon ) and make a paste. ( Make sure only add either Tamarind water or Tamarind paste. Also, make sure only add ginger paste or garlic paste, either one of them, each of them can make two different recipes).


  • Add the salmon fillets to the paste and apply all over the salmon by using gloves or spoon.


  • Keep in fridge for 10-15 minutes.


STEP 2


  • Take a Pan and maintain low heat.


  • Add  3-4 tablespoon  of olive oil to the pan


  • Once oil is hot add the marinated salmon to the oil by keeping the skin side down.


  • After 3 minutes flip to other side.


  •  Fry the other side for 2 minutes.  Make sure to flip to sides for 1-2 minutes, in between. Watch the video for perfection.


**Serve with boiled rice or ninakitchen garlic rice.
