SHRIMP ROAST/ PRAWN ROAST
This Shrimp Roast is deliciously prepared with moderate amount of spice which goes well with rice.
SERVES 1-2
STEP 1
INGREDIENTS

300g Shrimps/Prawns
-
4 Tablespoon of Olive oil
-
1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
-
1 tablespoon of Ginger crushed
-
1 teaspoon of Garlic crushed
-
8-12 Curry leaves
-
1 Dried Red Chilli
-
1 Green Chilli
-
2 large Tomatoes
-
2 Large Onions
-
1 teaspoon of Salt
-
1 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
-
3 teaspoon of Coriander Powder
-
2 teaspoon of Kashmiri Chilli Powder
-
1/2 teaspoon of Red Chilli Powder
-
5-10 Pepper
-
1 and 1/2 tablespoon of Tomato puree.
How to Roast the Shrimps/ Prawns
-
In a Pan add 2 tbsp of oil. Maintain low heat,
-
Once oil is hot add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.

Let it sizzils for 30 seconds.

Add curry leaves, green chill (chopped in the middle)
and dried red chilli.

2 onion chopped small and thin and 1tsp of salt.
-
Stir for 5 minutes, maintain low flame.

After 5 minutes add spices ( turmeric, kashmiri chilli powder,
red chilli powder, coriander powder)

Stir for 1-2 minutes on low flame.

After 2 minutes add finely chopped tomatoes.

Stir for 4 minutes or until very soft. After 4 minutes,
-
Add tomato puree.

Stir for 2 minutes.
-
After 2 minutes add 90 mls of water.
-
Stir until the water evaporates.
-
Once the water almost evaporates add the shrimp.
-
Mix gently and add 2 table spoon of oil.

Stir for 6-8 minutes maximum.(for shrimp with shell)
-
4-6 minutes (for shrimp without shell).
-
Flip every two minutes.
-
Finally add 5-10 crushed pepper.

After adding shrimps or prawns the total cooking time is 6-8 minutes for shrimps with shell. 4-6 minutes for shrimps without shell.
