Curry

INGREDIENTS
-
300-600g of Chicken Breast
-
3 tbsp of Olive Oil or Cooking Oil
-
1 - 2 tsp of salt
-
1 tsp of Turmeric powder
-
2 tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder
-
2-3 Large size Onion Chopped
-
1 tbsp Ginger chopped
-
1 tbsp of Garlic Chopped
-
1 Green Chilli
-
3 Bay leaves
-
1 tsp of Fennel Seeds
-
3 Cloves
-
1 Piece of Nutmeg
-
1 piece Cinnamon stick
-
3 tbsp of Coriander leaves (to sprinkle)

3 Large Tomato cut in the middle
-
3 tsp of Coriander powder
-
1/2 tsp of Red chilli powder
-
3 tbsp of full fat Natural yoghurt/ Curd/Thayiru
-
800 ml or Water(as required)
HOW TO COOK SPECIAL INDIAN CHICKEN CURRY
Step 1

Take a pan. Maintain Low Heat. Add 3 tbsp of oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces.

Add cinnamon stick, fennel seeds, nutmeg, cloves, bay leaves. And stir for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes,

Add green chilli, garlic chopped, ginger chopped and onions chopped.

Also add 1 tsp of salt and stir for 5 minutes below medium flame.

After 5 minutes, maintain low to medium flame and add kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Again stir for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add 500ml of water (as required to cover the chicken).

Cover and cook for 35 minutes on medium to low flame. Stir every 15 minutes.

After 35 minutes, add full fat yogurt and coriander leaves & Stir for 2 minutes.

Add 300ml ml of water. On the top of the water, place 3 tomatoes halved in the middle. Place the cut side facing downwards. Also add 1/2 to 1 tsp of salt ( as required).

Cover with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes remove the tomatoes skin.

When the desired consistency reaches turn off the heat.

Enjoy this curry with your favourite naan, chapati or rice.
